The earliest building in Ashley valley were made of logs or rock. This building was made of quarried sandstone. The large rocks have been worked to make a nice fit in the wall. Log were used for the roof. These walls are still standing after more than 100 years. It shows that the quality workmanship that went into the building payed off. Sagebrush has grown up as high as the roof.
