As I sat by fire and waited out the storm noticed some tree stumps nearby. They were cut off app/ 7 feet above ground level. Were probably cut in the winter. In the early 1900s there was mining activity in this area. Trees were probably cut during this time. I would have not liked to spend a winter at this elevation app/ 11,600 feet
