Patterns in the lichen on a rock always catch my eye. It gives me an excuse to take a picture while I catch my breath. An old man has to stop and rest often. Beside if you do not look at things around you, you may never have the opportunity to see that view again. On any given day, the same thing will appear different due to time of day, season of year or maybe just your frame of mind. You have to stop and smell the rose as the old says goes....when you have the opportunity.
