Snown covered Blue spruce in our front yard. This trees serves as a bedroom for a covey of quail. The sharp spruce needles make its difficult for hawks and cats to get quail. It is fun to seem them fly into the tree in the evening and hop down in the mornings and walk around the house to go to the bird feeder in the back yard. We have had up to 34 quail in the yard at one time.
