A view of the side of Split mountain as you go down to campground and boat launch ramp. Split mountain is so called as the Green river has eroided its way thru the mountain and it appears as if it has split the mountain. River runners run the rapids thru Split mountain every day in the summer. It is a little brisk to run it and get soaking wet this time of year. It takes about 1/2 hour to go thru the canyon and come out the bottom.
