The lower end of Lonesome park with a stream meandering thru and cattle in the background. Trout can be seen in the clear water and often rise up to take a insect on the surface. As soon as your shadow hits the water or you get close to water edge fish head for deeper water.
Cattle are curious as I approach them. These are summer cattle, some are calves and some are cows and some are steers and even a bull or two. Some have white faces and some have black. Some are lying and some are standing. But the real reason they are called summer cattle is they are here in the summer and then in the fall the cattlemen take them to the lower country. The cattle that are laying on the ground might be refered to as ground beef. Now you know just about all I know about cattle for what it is worth. I like my beef nice and brown and on my plate.
