Sandstone cliffs are drag folded along the fault zone on the south side of Blue mountain. The dip of the beds in the sandstone steepen as they approach the fault. Blue moutain has been raised in relation to the ground on the other side of the fault. Fault breccia and jasperiod can be seen along the fault zone in places.
