This is my large working saw. It is a Stihl 088, 8 1/2hp with a 42 inch bar. I used it mainly to slab trees to make log signs. I used an Alaskan saw mill which is directly behind the saw. It has a 60 inch bar in it. In front of the saw is a 84 inch bar that I used to slab larger trees. I have made several log archways and signs. My largest sign was 52 inches across at one end and 23 feet long. It had a handcarved sign on both sides. I did gold leafing with 23 karat gold on some of my signs. I have several smaller saws that I used. The saws are gathering dust as I haven't made a sign for sometime.

  1. The yellow ruler in the picture is 72 long for scale. My Honda 500 wheeler is in the background. At the present it is the shop awaiting parts to repair it. It had a slight accident over Thanksgiving Holiday. All went well as no one was hurt. Wheelers can be fixed....no problem...people are a little harder to repair.
